Imagining a Bold Vision of Racial Equity and Justice in Sacramento

Welcome to the Sacramento Racial Equity Alliance Website! The City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Racial Equity Alliance invite community members to explore a new vision and process for advancing racial equity. We will learn more about what racial equity means, how it can improve our neighborhoods, and the steps needed to get there.

Vision

Our vision for a more equitable Sacramento is one where all communities feel included and valued. We want to make spaces for sharing and building with each other. We want to choose lasting policies that support equity and justice for all. But most importantly, we want to invest in historically disadvantaged communities. Our commitment lies in naming and addressing the historical and systemic barriers that damage and divide us. Affordable housing, education, healthcare, and other essential services heal and unite us. Ultimately, our vision is a Sacramento where we work together for a more fair, just, and resilient city. We invite you to share your stories as we grow towards our collective future.
